Living in a competitive world out there means being used, lied to, feeling cheated and dropped like you’re nothing - and in reality, they probably do consider you nothing. Just another…thing that they used as a stepping stone to advance towards their goals. Being nice is only going to make you go through those feelings over and over again, but it seems that most of the people who don’t end up being used are one of those people themselves - the ones who use others and take advantage of them without mercy. I haven’t seen a middle ground yet.
